Meet the Tree Fellers - a photographic review
Last October we hosted an open day in Fingle to celebrate woodlands and their management: everything from traditional woodland crafts to modern day machinery. After the success of last year, we're running another 'Meet the Tree Fellers' event this Saturday, the 28th of September. It will be even bigger and better than before. There will be chainsaw carving as well tree felling, horse logging and milling demonstrations and even more opportunities to have a go yourself. Drop in anytime between 11am and 4pm to try your hand at green woodworking, charcoal art and axe-throwing. There will also be tractor tours as well as lots of locally made cakes...essential fuel for any tree fellers of any age! See below for a photographic review of last year's event and full details about Saturday.
