Fingle Lecture: October
Winter thinning work and Ancient Woodland Restoration: 6.30pm walk and 7.30pm talkFor this month’s talk we will be meeting outside the Fingle Bridge Inn (EX6 6PW) at the earlier time of 6.30pm on Thursday (the 3rd of October). From there we will be taking a short but steep walk into the woods to see the beginnings of some of this winter’s thinning work and meeting some of the contractors. If you are unable to join us for the walk, we will be back at the Fingle Bridge Inn by 7.30pm (at the latest) and there will then be two short presentations on ancient woodland restoration by David Rickwood and our new team member, Sam Manning. If you are joining us for the walk please bring sturdy foot wear, waterproofs (as showers are currently forecast and we’ll go ahead unless the rain is torrential) and a head torch. If you have any questions or require any further details please email: EleanorLewis@woodlandtrust.org.uk
